It was a huge event with many racers coming from miles around the state and some from out of state. Something we could all be thankful for over the Thanksgiving weekend was all the great weather! I had attended an event with ProAutoSports before but it was surprisingly a very wet day. The Mondo-Bondo event is a very special race because it marries the Bondurant Racing School track with the main track of Wild Horse Pass making for a huge track.
As I mentioned before the event was huge and there were not only a lot of people spectating there was a large variety of cars on the track. Not too many of the same type of car which made it interesting to see the differences in handling vs. power. I still have yet to get my car track ready but I am very close.
I went to check out my good friend Jonathan Fongyee who owns a 2017 Shelby Mustang GT350R in Avalanche Grey. It is a gorgeous car and definitely gets down on the track. He has a few modifications such as camber plates but it’s completely stock powertrain wise.
The saddest part of the day though was when the C63AMG took a bad hop and ended up tapping the wall.
Overall, ProAutoSports throws some very good, clean race events and I just can’t wait to get out on track with everyone! I’ll be updating this article periodically as they continue to run this track setup in the coming years. Hope you enjoy the rest of the content!
